ONEEIGHTY Students: CIY MOVE Highlights
CIY Highlights
By Leslie Staggs
Twenty-two high schoolers and four adult leaders traveled to Lee University to participate in CIY MOVE. The theme this year was “ for all, forever.” All week we dove into the truth that Jesus is for all who believe in Him, for you individually, for us, so we live differently than the world, and forever so we can participate in sharing the gospel.
There was a moment in our small group that I’ll never forget. We sat in a circle sharing our burdens, lifting each other up, and ended praying and crying in a big group hug. It was such a beautiful picture of how Jesus is for us by making us a part of a community that watches out for and cares for each other.
God showed up in so many ways this week. He answered prayers. He set us free through the confession of sins. He multiplied vulnerability. He inspired a serving project. He grew an acoustic worship gathering. He showed us others in the global church who are also on mission for God. He challenged us to recommit, pursue vocational ministry, and be committed kingdom workers.
I could go on and on, but I’ll end with some quotes I saw on social media from the students:

- “This week, I learned what it truly means to be a kingdom worker.”
- “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity. Psalm 133:1”
- “This was absolutely the best week of my life.”
- “I came with friends but left with family.”
