H7 Story: Pursuing God's Calling
Josiah and Alina Harris are members of FCC and attended the Greeneville campus for over a year. They have recently stepped out in faith to pursue God's calling to serve Him wherever He leads them. We are excited to follow their missionary journey and pray for them.
After graduating from LeTourneau University as a Computer Avionics Technician, Josiah and Alina want to use their skill sets to work with Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF). They desire to further the spread of the Gospel into remote areas of the world. Some of these areas are only accessible by small airplanes that the missionaries depend on.
After completing their studies at LETU, the Harrises took a short, three-month mission trip to Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Southeast Alaska. They helped young, underprivileged children learn to love and follow Jesus.
They then moved to Greeneville, where Josiah worked as an Airplane mechanic in Morristown, gaining experience for their future ministry. At this time, God led them to FCC, where they became members, enjoyed fellowship in Pillar, and helped on the Worship and Tech teams. During this time, they learned they were pregnant with their little girl, Eden Rose Harris, who was born in September 2022.
In January of 2023, the Lord called them to move to MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho, where Josiah accepted a job as an Avionics Technician at Mission Aviation Fellowship.
Josiah works daily to prepare an airplane to return to the Dominican Republic of Congo. The trick with this plane is that it needs to be back in Africa before the end of September 2023, as the government has set this cut-off date because of the age of the airplane. The plane is an essential part of missions work there, and the mechanics here in the USA are working their fastest and yet with safety in mind to see this plane completed and returned.
Future plans for the Harrises:
When they can take time away from the work in Idaho, they plan to travel and visit churches to raise support. "We hope to visit and see everyone at FCC at that time." They plan to go wherever the Lord takes them in the world and are excited to see where God will take them in the future.
Praise Report:
"We are thankful for the ways God has provided even to make this training time possible. He has proved His faithfulness time and time again, and we trust that He will take care of us! Thank you for praying for us as we follow where the Lord leads."

Prayer Requests:
1. Need for a car for Josiah to take back and forth to work each day.
2. The house needs many repairs, including the roof. Please pray for the Lord's provision, as these things can be overwhelming.
3. Continued health and safety for our family. Eden turns one this week, and we are so thankful for her.
4. Having pliable hearts to the Lord's leading. And daily growth in our walk with God.
