H7 Story: Growth Despite Adversity
A dedicated FCC supported missionary, whose identity we must protect for safety reasons, is tirelessly spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a South American country under a repressive communist regime. Despite the challenges, he remains steadfast in his mission, and we are excited to share some of the remarkable progress God is making in this part of the world.
The church he serves has transformed into a thriving and evangelistic fellowship center deeply rooted in the community. The children, who were once neighbors, now gather every Sunday as eager students, hungry to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This transformation is a testament to the missionary's dedication and the commitment of the teachers who support him.
The Ladies' group has grown tremendously and is meeting weekly to pray, study the Scriptures, fellowship, and visit the needy women in the community.
The church is also expanding its Worship Team as new band members join the music ministry. Investing in more instruments, sound equipment, and microphones is an urgent priority.
The ministry is acquiring more Bibles and Christian literature for several in their congregation. There is a thirst for the Word of God in his area, and he and those involved in his ministry are trying to put Bibles and Gospel literature in their hands.
The ministry teams he supports are flourishing, both in numbers and in their spiritual growth. They are stepping up to lead and inspire the younger generation to participate actively in the body of Christ.
Pray that God can use his efforts as he has been asked to help write devotional materials for the entire student body. These devotionals are used at the beginning of each school day. He and a fellow teacher have teamed up to write a series on "The Fruit of the Spirit."
During his upcoming visit to the United States this summer, he has requested prayers for traveling mercies. He will be visiting several churches throughout East Tennessee. In June, he will be in Greeneville, visiting one of our campuses and giving us more updates on his ministry. If you want to send him a note of encouragement, you can email it to our Mission Director, Bob Radank, at bob@fccgreene.org. Bob will be able to forward them to the secure email that our missionary has provided.
