Make Disciples & Launch Leaders
The FCC Church Leadership Residency (CLR) is designed to develop strong local church ministry leaders in 4 areas—Biblical Discipleship, Practical Ministry, Personal Mentoring, and Vibrant Community—each with competency-based “Learn” and “Lead” goals.
How Does it Work? We invite Residents into our staff culture and ministry systems, opening nearly every environment and team as a laboratory for discerning gifts and developing leadership.
Who Can Participate? Anyone wanting to grow as a member of the body, test the waters to discern future vocational goals, or prepare for full-time vocational ministry. If your participation tends toward the latter, we basically treat you like staff.
When Does it Happen? Completed one year at a time (Sep-May or Sep-Aug, i.e., summer is optional).
What Do I Do? The program can be tailored to each Resident from options listed below as determined by interview with our Residents Director (RD) Travis Chapman (and in conversation with Longview Ranch, as we sometimes partner with their Live Bold Interns.)

Learn: Cohort Meals, Shared Projects/Conferences/Retreats, Book Discussions, Life-on-Life Hospitality, and Conflict Resolution Training
Lead: Shape culture by being present, vulnerable, and joyful because you are accountable to God, the body of Christ, and those closest to you; initiate discipleship conversations; model brotherly affection and develop ministry-minded friendships that last a lifetime and become a network of ongoing support.
