H7 Story: Pursuing Generosity Together

Recently, First Christian Church participated in a fundraiser for the Hope Center’s “Baby Bottle Campaign.” Baby bottles were available at all three campuses. Attendees could take home a bottle and fill it up with loose change. A few weeks later, everyone (hopefully ) returned the bottles to the church, and the money was totaled up. As a church, we raised $4,646.05 to help the Hope Center.

The Hope Center, is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Greeneville, TN. They provide services and information to individuals who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. Staff members will walk alongside any woman, listening and providing her with the help and education she needs to make the best decision for her and her baby. They lay out all options and help make sure that each lady that walks through their doors understands everything that is available to her before she chooses in which direction to move forward. Their website explains that, “We will not judge you or try to make the decision for you. Our purpose is to listen and provide you with the help and the education you need. All of our services are confidential and come at no cost to you.”

According to Hope Center Ministries Executive Director, Pam Crank, the “Baby Bottle Campaign” funds are used to provide free services to individuals faced with an unplanned pregnancy. “To date,” Pam explained, “The funds raised have reach a record amount of $38,084.58 with a record number of churches participating.”
