H7 Story: CrossCon Recap

CrossCon is a missions conference focused on calling people to make their lives count by making His name known. Thirty-eight FCC members traveled to Louisville, Kentucky, including Lead Pastor Scott and his wife, Dagny, along with several from Pillar, all of the FCC Residents, and the Longview interns. Over three days, January 1–3, they sat under solid, expositional, Christ-centered teaching, joined more than 12,000 other young adults in worship, and spent meaningful time fellowshipping with one another.

Here are some first-hand reports from some of this year’s attendees:
“As group leader, the most impactful moments were seeing our group invest deeply in one another. Small groups stayed up late applying what they learned. Over pizza, we all shared how God was impacting each of us. Young adult after young adult expressed their desire to surrender all they are to God’s purposes for their lives. I heard of relationships being encouraged to honor God in dating. I heard others motivated to memorize Scripture. Some stepped up to serve on the team, and still others continue to wrestle with whether God may be calling them to worldwide missions in the future. These conversations with our young adults was the highlight of my trip!vPraise God for how He works. Be praying for these young adults as they take next steps in light of this conference. Also, come alongside those you know to help them as they seek to make their lives count by making His name known.”  – David Bowlin
"What a way to start the new year! CrossCon 2026 was a sweet time of fun, fellowship, and learning. We were able to attend sessions and breakouts where the faithful declaration of the Word and Biblical truth was presented by passionate believers. Through congregational music, a loud anthem rang out as thousands of brothers and sisters in Christ worshiped in unity. May the impact of this Conference continue throughout the whole year. It is my prayer that we all would be intentional in our pursuit of Christ and growth as we make our lives count by making the name of Jesus known!" – Mikaya Gailey
"CrossCon was amazing and personally a good reset for me. While at CrossCon God reminded me to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and run to him with anything. The blood of Jesus covers all sin!" – Jeremiah Mohammed
"As a new believer, I found CrossCon to be immensely helpful and encouraging, in fact it helped me surrender fully to Jesus which I have previously found to be really difficult. It was also incredibly challenging which was so great. The big sessions, along with the breakouts provided clarity in ways I was lost, understanding in areas I couldn’t quite grasp, and conviction in areas I needed it most. Not only was what was taught incredibly helpful, the power of God holding my heart in a place I assumed I’d be insanely anxious was so good. It showed me that truly, His strength is SO great. And it was so beautiful listening to everyone sing… I might’ve cried only… um every time." – Addison Juell
"My greatest blessing out of our time here at CrossCon was each other. Singing, sharing, learning, laughing together. I love how Cross is about church-centered missions. I love how it declares that ‘the church is the answer to modern identity chaos.’ On the downtime of our drive home, I considered how God has faithfully grown me, modeled grace for me, and disciples me through His bride, the Church. There is nowhere, no vacation, no dream, that can give me rest and contentment like FCC." – Tyler Brinegar
